ISLINGTON Motor Group in Trowbridge unveiled its new Ford showroom to the public at the end of last month, which cost the company almost £1m to complete.

After acquiring the site from Foray Motor Group last August, the business has seen sales go from strength to strength and the expansion was carried out to keep up with customer demand.

Following the six-month refurbishment, which saw a 40 per cent increase in size, the site can now boast a full range of models in addition to its space to display around 60 used cars and a service area.

Paul Jones, Islington Motor Group’s managing director, said: “Islington has been synonymous with Trowbridge for 60 years when the business first started out in Islington.

“I have been in the business for 23 years and we talk about investing back in the building and the business and we are now in a position to develop excellent facilities and customer service.

“We are now able to have a full range of models on display because we can now get all of the in and we will continue our unrivalled customer service with the best value around.

“We’ve made sure to complete the build with the customer in mind and I have to put the success of Islington down to our team who have supported the business and have shown great enthusiasm in making Islington what it is.”

The site will still trade as Trowbridge Ford which is located 100 yards from the group’s existing site in Canal Road where it represents Citroen and Suzuki and runs a Peugeot authorised repairer business.

The new site was unveiled by Andy Barratt, chairman and managing director of Ford of Great Britain.
