Professor to support research
For some time Christina Strang, of Chippenham company CS Handwriting Analysis, has been working on a research project entitled Handwriting in the Early Detection of Dis-ease at Poole Hospital, analysing the writing of patients attending the Cardiac Outpatients Clinic.
As a result of this research study and the statistical evidence that was produced, Prof Richard Underwood, Senior Cardiology Consultant at the Royal Brompton Hospital in London and one of the leading Cardiologists in the UK, has volunteered to collaborate with her on the next stage of her research.
Christina said: "To have Prof Underwood collaborating with me is the best thing that could have happened.
"The help and advice he has already given me has been amazing, and goes to prove that he really is a great tour de force in the medical world.
"The plan is to extend the research by asking for handwriting samples from a large number of patients attending cardiac rehabilitation and to conduct a double blind study."
