UK Trade & Investment plans for Malaysia

UK Trade & Investment and the Regional Language Network South West are holding a free event to introduce businesses to the high growth markets of Malaysia and Singapore.

The event, being held at the University of the West of England at Coldharbour Lane, Frenchay, Bristol on Thursday June 5, will feature presentations by experts from each country who can talk about the business opportunities of these fast-growing markets.

It precedes a UKTI market visit to Malaysia and Singapore in Mid-October this year and will help potential participants learn a little more about the two countries beforehand.

Delegates will also have the chance to learn about the language and business culture of the markets and how developing language skills and cultural awareness can overcome barriers to trade.

There will be information on the support available from UKTI and the Regional Language Network to help businesses get started or expand in these markets and a taster session using the Malay language giving delegates the chance to see how much of a new language can be learned in just 40 minutes.

The event will conclude with a Q&A session followed by a buffet lunch and networking opportunity.

To register for the free event businesses should contact the rln website or tel: 0117 3284321 or email: rln@uwe.ac.uk.

This event is the postponed event that was due to take place on April 24.
