If you work in healthcare and have regular contact with patients who have visual impairment then this training session might be just the thing for you.
Mary Parsons of Create Vision UK is running the session which is designed to give you confidence to provide accessible healthcare.
"This will help people to find out how different types of sight loss affect people," said Mary.
"They will gain practical skills and confidence to communicate and assist individuals with a visual impairment; identify how visual impairment impacts on health and find out how to increase access to your services."
The planned dates are Friday October 30 or Monday January 12 between 1pm and 4.15pm. The venue is the Training Academy, Great Western Hospital, Swindon and the cost is £120 per person.
Mary hopes to provide another session later either on Monday November 24 or Tuesday February 3 at the Pilgrim Centre.
