RedheadPR shortlisted by CIPR
Sara Tye and redheadPR has been shortlisted for a Chartered Institute of Public Relations Excellence Award in corporate responsibility, for campaign work on Make Your Mark with a Tenner.
This complements an accolade already received last month by redheadPR founder and managing director Sara Tye, where she was voted one of the top 500 most influential Public Relations practitioners by Haymarket's PR Week PowerBook.
Sara Tye originally from Swindon and now living in Shepperton said: "Being short listed for an excellence award i is a remarkable achievement for me and the company.
"The work has been judged by leading PR experts and recognises and rewards best practice in public relations and acknowledges personal and team achievement at the highest professional level.
"After being voted one of the most influential Public Relations Professionals last month and being shortlisted for a PR award this month, a subject that I have campaigned for myself over many many years, cements the best practice approach that I and my company have always delivered.
"Since leaving school I have worked tirelessly to demonstrate that anyone can realise their dreams. I have often put principles before profit. I know this will pay off in terms of business sustainability and ensure that this profession is always seen in a serious light.
CIPR Director General Colin Farrington said: "We received a record 853 entries across the 28 award categories this year a good sign that the public relations industry continues to thrive.
"This year, as the CIPR marks 60 years of leading an increasingly sophisticated profession, so 2008's Excellence Awards finalists should celebrate the fact they have faced the stiffest competition to date to rise to the top of their industry."
Short listed entrants will be invited for interview in May by a panel of judges comprising senior PR practitioners and experts from the business, media, marketing and advertising communities. Winners will be announced in September.
