Halcrow walk don't run to work
Halcrow's Swindon office is organising a dedicated week this week, known as Spring into Action, to encourage sustainable travel, in particular when travelling to and from work, as well as business travel.
There are many sustainable modes of travel including: walking, cycling, bus, train and car sharing.
Swindon office organiser, Sunny Bhojak said: "As a consultancy that promotes sustainability to our clients, it is important to practice what we preach.
"Spring into action week provides the opportunity to inform Halcrow staff about sustainable travel options, but also have some fun whilst doing it."
The office will be holding various activities including a sustainable travel day on Wednesday with free breakfast for those who travel in a sustainable manner; lunchtime history walks giving a history tour of Burderop Park; video conferencing demonstrations; web conferencing demonstration; a travel workshop with information about travelling to work using sustainable modes of transport and personalised travel plans.
