WESTBURY White Horse has a rival in town with the opening of a new shop the Westbury White Elephant.

The shop sells second hand furniture and home accessories and has been set up by a family from Melksham.

Nicola Clifford, 39, set up the shop after deciding to go back to work after having children.

Husband Ian, 38, fancied a change from his job as a supermarket manager and now she works in the shop while he does house clearances and removals.

Mrs Clifford said: "It's a family run business - I'm in the shop while my husband does the removals and I have two step children who are just about to leave school so they're helping us too."

The shop, which used to be Pure Lighting, is in Warminster Road and has two floors worth of space in which to display items.

The couple set up their business with their savings and then created a business plan to give to the bank.
