Resilient leadership can hold the key to improving the wellbeing of your business and the mental health of your employees.

This is the topic to be explored at the next session from the Swindon Mindful Employer Network on Tuesday, October 11 which takes place at WRc plc located in Blagrove.

The training event entitled Resilient Leadership – Taking care of Business, Leaders and Teams features guest speakers Tony Nutley and Melanie Richens of the Swindon based UK College of Personal Development. Melanie is also the highly respected chairwoman of the Swindon Mindful Employer Network.

Tony Nutley said: “Our outcome for the session is for everyone to leave with a clearer understanding of the relationship between how a leader leads and the mental health and well-being of themselves and their business, as well as practical ideas to take away and implement. The correlation between the leadership culture adopted by an employer and the impact on staff wellbeing and business success is very often overlooked – and we hope this session helps develop an appreciation for positive leadership and coaching in the workplace.”

Mike Godfrey of Business West, who is also deputy chairman of the Swindon Mindful Employer Network said: “During 2016 our sessions have looked at training managers who are supporting staff with mental health issues, we explored positive workplace cultures for mental health, building our resilience and mental toughness and now we are considering how leadership can make a huge difference to staff and business wellbeing in the current economic climate.

"The network is looking forward to hearing from Tony and Melanie about how we can make our businesses stronger and more productive by encouraging resilient leadership and teams.”

WRc plc who are kindly hosting the event in October are also regular attendees to the network.
