Manor House wins top golf award
The Manor House Hotel & Golf Club in Castle Coombe has won the Gold Award in Golf Monthly magazine's regional course rankings which acknowledges the best golfing venues in the UK and Ireland.
These awards by the UK's biggest selling golf magazine consider everything from quality of design, condition and presentation of the course to the equally important ambience and welcome visitors receive on arrival. A panel of judges including readers and members of the editorial team visit clubs to assess the different categories and mark each venue accordingly.
To celebrate The Manor House is launching their summer golf package which runs until October 31. Visitors will receive coffee and bacon rolls on arrival, complimentary basket of range balls, 18 holes of golf, shared buggy and complimentary drink in the clubhouse for just £60 per person. The offer is based on a minimum of four people and is subject to availability.
Situated in 365 acres of parkland and regarded as a hidden golfing gem in the Costswolds, Manor House was described by Ryder Cup star Luke Donald, who fell in love with it.
The 6,500 yard course was designed by BBC commentator Peter Alliss and Clive Clark, and is 15 minutes from Bristol and Bath, consequently the Manor House Hotel & Golf Club is an ideal location for corporate days and business meetings.
